Portraitv2 2023 10 29 Lydia TeaK Helsinki1.jpg

Lydia is a Greek dance artist based in Helsinki, Finland.

After completing her formal training at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, Lydia took part in cross disciplinary projects as a choreographer, presented in the UK, Ireland, Sweden and Denmark. Her movement research is informed by her training in classical Indian dance, Bharatanatyam, which she has been practising from a young age. In her practice, she puts emphasis on the role of sound and music in her work; an interest that has led her to continuously collaborate with composers and sound designers towards a symbiotic relationship of sound and movement. Her interest also expands to dance on video and the medium of film. She is interested in collaborating with theatre and film productions as a movement director.

Lydia is currently completing her Master’s degree in Choreography at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki.
